The longest and smoothest of all the natural fibers, Supima® cotton has the fewest loose “ends” that can form uncomfortable and unsightly pills (clusters of tangled fibers).
Supercale® uses a percale weave, which maximizes the number of intersecting yarns and keeps them from bending or stretching. Described as crisp or starchy, percale sheets ventilate better by the reducing contact points between you and your sheets.
Percale weave’s higher number of intersections also restricts the quantity of yarns that can be packed into a square inch. With typically lower (180-300 versus 350-1400 for sateen) threadcounts, percale sheets help you sleep cooler because your body heat and humidity can escape easily through gaps between the yarns.
Yesteryear’s percale sheets usually contained 20-50% polyester to reduce wrinkling. Superior Supima® yarn and improved finishes enable Supercale® sheets to be wrinkle-resistant for 100 laundry cycles with only minor surface rumpling. Supercale®’s durable 100% cotton yarns hold up to wear and tear and can withstand hot water laundering and chlorine bleach.
Supercale® chemically-safe sheets contain no irritants to damage the skin or allergens to disrupt a user’s hormonal balance or trigger allergic reactions.
